Our RSS feed overrunneth this week with great Boston Marathon fundraising stories. Here are three from the local media. Please join us in saluting their athletic and fundraising efforts!
In Hingham, Mike Haggerty is running Boston to support the Hingham Education Foundation with the purchase of a Smart Board, a piece of educational technology too cool for us to explain here, but check out this picture from Mike’s fundraising page.
The Westborough Community Advocate carries the story of Becky Tripp of Shrewsbury , who is running the Boston Marathon to benefit the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center which provides emotional and physical support for individuals with disabilities that include learning disorders, autism and cerebral palsy, and their families. Cheer Becky on, or better yet, donate to her fundraising page.
Over in Belmont, we have a twofer. David Harmon and Phillip Amrein are running to support Mass General Hospital. They are colleagues at this hospital too. You can try to pick the winner by looking at their fundraising pages (Phillip here, David here) but we won’t know until race day next week for sure.
If you’re running Boston or supporting a friend or just watching from the sidelines, watch this space and also check out Team Firstgiving’s blog for more Boston Marathon fundraising news this week!
