The official charities for the Boston Marathon have been announced. There are 6 new and 19 returning BAA-official charities and a number of undisclosed charities that you can raise money for to gain an official number for the 113th Boston Marathon, which will take place on Monday, April 20th, 2009.

Run the 2009 Boston Marathon for Mass. Eye and Ear and raise money for vision, hearing, voice and balance.
Mass. Eye and Ear has been selected as an official charity by John Hancock Financial Services, the lead sponsor fo the Boston Marathon, to receive 55 invitational marathon entries.
Mass. Eye and Ear will offer training assistance through FitCorp to runners who will have the opportunity to participate in the world’s most famous marathon and raise $3,000 to benefit our world-renowned research and clinical care, offering hope to those suffering from vision, hearing, voice and balance problems.
